Will Kurt Russell appear in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” ?
Comingsoon.com has confirmed that veteran actor Kurt Russell is in talks to star in the upcoming sequel to sci-fi blockbuster “Guardians of the Galaxy.”
The news was revealed during a Happy Sad Confused podcast when Russell said he had discussed the opportunity to play Peter Quill/Star-Lord’s father in “Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2” with director James Gunn.
“I didn’t realize that the man [James Gunn] had written and directed it. So we talked to each other on the phone and I just had to be honest and say, ‘Thank you for considering me, I have to read it, and I have to watch the movie…”
The cast for the upcoming film will once again feature Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, Vin Diesel, and Bradley Cooper as a misfit team of heroes who must band together to save the universe from certain doom, but Gunn has already confirmed that Star-Lord’s father will be different in the film from his comic book parentage, which was Emperor J’Son of Spartax.
