Venezia Cinema a Beirut
The Metropolis Association and the Italian Cultural Institute in Lebanon in partnership with the Venice Biennale are proud to present for the first time in Lebanon Venezia Cinema.
This event that will be held at Metropolis Empire Sofil between the 20th and the 25th of February 2014 and which will become a yearly event will present a broad selection of recent and classic films that were screened during the 70th edition of the Venice Biennale.
Among our guests we have the honor to welcome Mr. Luigi Cuciniello, director of Venezia Cinema Biennale, who will present the opening film A Lonely Heart (L’Intrepido) by Gianni Amelio and the actress Elena Cotta who won the Volpi Cup for best actress in A Street in Palermo (Via Castellana Bandiera) which will be featured in the program. The Lebanese public and the press will also be able to meet with them.
