The Wanton Bishops at Metro El Madina
The Wanton Bishops are a two-piece blues and garage rock revival band from Beirut. The band is made up of Nader (vocals, harmonica, guitar, keyboards) and Eddy (lead guitar, backing vocals, banjo), who are joined on stage by a drummer and bassist.
With influences as diverse as Delta Blues and the English rock’n’roll scene of the late 60s, The Wanton Bishops have crafted a sound that Rolling Stone magazine has called a “blend of infectious, raw, bluesy rock” that is “utterly convincing.”
They released their first album, Sleep With The Lights On, in December 2012.
