About Buddha Bar
Sushi, fusion food, and a gigantic Buddha is probably the simplest way to describe the world famous Parisian bar & restaurant that opened in Beirut in summer 2004 at the time it was the second Buddha Bar that opened in the world. As you walk through the main entrance located on the Riad Solh Square it feels as though you are entering a theater.
The Buddha Bar Beirut took the foundations of an old theater to give 3 massive floors with an extended ceiling and plenty of space. If you’re the chilled out type, dinner downstairs is probably for you.
Dining at Buddha-Bar means removing yourself from the frenzy of urban life and plunging into a rejuvenating bath. As soon as you’ve entered this remarkable place with its monumental proportions, you’ll be enthralled by the charm of its soothing, exotic atmosphere.
The amber-coloured lighting, rich mahogany furniture, Chinese and Japanese art objects, Khmer statues, decorated wood panels, lush reds and gold, luxurious fabrics and Portuguese mosaics all come together to create an opulent and refined décor.
In Buddha-Bar wonderland, your taste buds travel to distant lands and inventiveness nests in your plate. The chef creates an edible masterpiece that skilfully combines exotic delicacies with high-end cuisine.
However upstairs is where the action takes place with people all walking around the red and black space with glasses full to the rim in their hands. A great mix of music keeps the heads bobbing all night, all the time.
The best DJs distill their musical selections to infuse your evenings in this sanctuary with an indescribable sensuality. The experience is brilliantly engraved in the famous Buddha-Bar compilations.
