No Doubt – Settle Down [video]

No Doubt premiered their new single ‘Settle Down‘ earlier today, and now the colourful video is here. Aside from a fat L’Oreal product placement, we see the band drive in separate trucks before they all meet each other for a gig at which everyone decides to line dance.

The song was generally well-received. Popjustice said the song was “brilliant” and noted the familiar sound of No Doubt present in it, many critics such as Lily Rothman of Time commended No Doubt for not “[messing] with their signature sound.” Randall Roberts of the Los Angeles Times said the song “shows No Doubt following a path they’ve traversed their entire career: tapping into Latin and Caribbean-tinged beats, merging them with American pop and rock music, and accenting them with that No Doubt-ian accent.”
Tom Breihan of Stereogum and Marc Hogan of Spin both compared the track to the work of Santigold
