Japan getting ready for “Batman v. Superman”
There’s less than two months to go until “Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice” arrives in cinemas, and a new international TV spot for the action movie is aimed at getting Japanese audiences ready for the experience.
Henry Cavill returns from the last two Superman films as the Man of Steel, and civilian alter ego Clark Kent, with Ben Affleck, as Bruce Wayne, donning Batman’s cape for the first time in his movie career.
Both have opposing views of their opponent’s approach to crime-fighting, while Jesse Eisenberg’s Lex Luthor is enjoying the opportunity to stir things up a little.
Set to release the week of March 25 in numerous territories worldwide, “Batman v Superman” also sees Gal Gadot co-starring as Wonder Woman, Amy Adams as Lois Lane, Jeremy Irons as Alfred, and Laurence Fishburne as Perry White.
As well as recasting some of the sequences seen in previous trailers and TV spots, this Japanese treatment crosses over into what some may consider spoiler territory at its close; viewers may want to weigh up how much advance knowledge they’d prefer to have before seeing the film in full.
