Imagine Dragons – Demons [music]
After two successful hits with It’s Time charting at top 15 and Radioactive at top 10, Imagine Dragons follows up with Demons.
The previous singles were uptempo though It’s Time has positive inspiring feels while Radioactive has rebellious vibe. They’re toning down with the release of one of their darker song. Its verse utilized quiet keyboard riff that builds up to a bass drum dominated chorus. The song is an allegory of a man who sees himself surrounded by evil and is aware that inside him hides a demon. He is talking to a person he wants to protect the innocence of by letting her go.
Demons is the safe choice to release for the band to cater to wider audience. It is the most relatable track from their indie debut record, Night Visions because it consists elements and structure commonly found in most rock ballads. But cheerful at the same time unique tunes, Tiptoe and Top of the World would be a smarter choice. Either songs will solidify their distinct sound and strengthen their brand. Let’s hope those songs to be released properly. After all, they are both UK top 40 singles.
