“Green Room” trailer sets up the survival horror for April release
Award-winning director Jeremy Saulnier is due to return with “Green Room” this year, and a new trailer sets up the survival horror for April release.
The story begins as a punk band turns up to play a venue that has earned its reputation as a dodgy dive that attracts violent types.
But after witnessing a murder, they’re locked inside the venue and things get nastier from there.
Anton Yelchin and Imogen Poots star, with Patrick Stewart becoming their unexpected nemesis.
Saulnier’s previous feature, 2013’s “Blue Ruin,” won the FIPRESCI Prize at Cannes, and was named as one of the top independent fims of the year by the National Board of Review.
“Green Room,” which collected audience awards from Austin and Neuchätel film festivals last year, has a US release date of April 15, with an international rollout beginning the same week.
