Beirut Jam Sessions presents a Showcase by Mike Dawes
We’re back with a new segment of concerts! Every once in a while, Beirut Jam Sessions will have the pleasure to present to you a Showcase concert!
What is a showcase?
A gig which exhibits an individual act by showing their abilities in a unique setting.
Now that we’ve gotten that out of the way, we’re proud to present to you our first Showcase act: MIKE DAWES!
This one’s is going out to all the guitar lovers out there.
Who is he?
Mike Dawes is an English virtuoso finger-style guitar player best known for composing, arranging and performing multiple parts simultaneously on one instrument. His success has allowed him to sign on to CandyRat Records where he has since been able to release a couple of albums and perform pretty much all over the world. He’s collaborated with some of the world’s best fingerstyle players out there including Newton Faulkner, Seth Lakeman and Tommy Emmanuel…to name a few!
Who’s the opening act?
Karim Khneisser is a talented musician capable of playing a huge variety of instruments on his own. He’s worked on several musical scores for movies, advertisements and huge projects and this would be one of the rare times that he performs his instrumental stuff on his own!
Where will the gig take place?
Theatre Gemmayze at Freres School
When is the showcase?
Sunday, December 1st
Tickets are LIMITED for this one as it is in a Theatre. So, it’s pretty simple, the earlier you buy, the more up front you are to the stage as it is an all-seated concert.
